So yesterday, I went the distance, a full 60 minute 10 round affair with my Civ Pro professor. Altogether, we covered 5 cases with just my civ pro professor throwing out hypothetical situation after hypothetical situation at me, and me coming up with argument after argument with hardly an interruption (I did get an assist from one classmate when I just stumbled on an item I should have known better...). Afterwards, I felt mentally exhausted but six or seven classmates approached me with compliments of "good job", "great job", "that was really good"... I guess I went toe to toe with my prof, held my ground, and earned just a little bit of respect from my peers. Granted class participation doesn't count for anything when it comes to grades but... It's good to see some fruit from working hard and reading diligently every day. One day, hopefully, that respect will pay off in saving souls for God.

Props to Dan for finding this one...I guess I'm pretty bland...

My life is rated PG.

Here's another great example of good West Wing wit:

When Donna's (Josh's assistant and romantic tease) ex-boyfriend drives her to the hospital after a car accident, he stops at a friend's house and has a beer. At that point, Donna leaves her ex's car and calls Josh to ask him to drive her to the hospital. Josh, being the upstanding guy that he is, naturally picks her up and drives her to the hospital (even though he's angry at her for something she did earlier in the day). Later, when he finds out her ex had stopped to get a beer on the way to the hospital, he says to her, "If you got into an accident, I wouldn't stop to get a beer." Donna replies, "If you got into an accident, I wouldn't stop for red lights."
