Fantasy Baseball Update

It is now getting close to the end of May. April and May are the months that you, as a Fantasy Baseball GM, just want your team to be competitive. The first two months are when the desperation add-drops start to occur. Two years ago, I picked up Sean Green off the waiver wire when he batted under .220 in April and May with fewer than 3 Home Runs. He finished with 42 Home Runs, 114 RBI's, and a .282 batting average. Guess what? He's on the waiver wire again.... Anyhow, my theory has always been the contenders are separated from the pretenders in the months of June, July, and August. So we are nearing the key stretch for my squad. There's alot to be said for the age-old axiom: "It's not how you start... but how you finish." Thankfully, my team is off to a fast start, led by an overachieving pitching staff and 4 key offensive studmuffins: Abreu, Dunn, Glaus, and Barmes. But we'll see in the upcoming months whether my team is a contender, or a pretender. And we'll see how we finish.

Current Contenders: GHai's team, Millbrae's team, and AlfDaBruin's team
